2005 has been a time like no other for the members of the Catholic Match. Grass-roots organizing has spurred CM get-togethers in great Midwestern locales like Cincinnati and Chicago. Now the CM membership looks east, to the historic city of Boston and a gala weekend from September 30 to October 2.
Boston is a tourist’s dream, home to the rich heritage of the national founding. CMers can walk Freedom Trail, an easy-to-follow walking tour that will lead them to Paul Revere’s house, to the Old North Church, and into the historical treasure chest of the American Revolution.
The Old Towne is home to modern-day activity was well. Visit Bulfinch’s Pub, the inspiration for the long-running Sitcom “Cheers”, and tour its gift shop. Stroll the grounds of one of the nation’s most famous universities at Harvard, or ride the trolleys on tour. Ocean. Sports fans can walk Yawkey Way, right outside baseball’s fabled Fenway Park, and all can simply enjoy the waterfront, as the breeze blows in off the Atlantic Ocean.
So mark your calendar to spend a weekend in New England this autumn. Have great clam chowder, a great time and most importantly, great CM fellowship, from September 30 to October 2.
