The original success story for myself and Nadine was published in July 2007. I need to make one correction to that article–I
actually proposed to Nadine in August of 2006, not 2005.
We were married on June 30, 2007 as planned, and the ceremony could not have been more beautiful.
The exchange of our vows followed by the celebration of the Eucharist was just so beautiful. Being able to drink from the same cup and receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time as man and wife was a very moving and a deep spiritual event for both of us.
As we begin this new chapter in our lives where we now share a home together, we know it will be quite an experience. You will be glad to know that everything is going well, as we are both very patient individuals and have learned to accept each other's differences from the very beginning of our relationship. What I have learned from her has made a me become a better man. Praying together everyday and asking each other's forgiveness often has helped us be more loving to each other.
I will now fast forward to another part of our wonderful life together. We both wanted to have a family and by September, after praying the novena to Saint Therese, we received the wonderful news that Nadine was expecting our first child–less than two weeks after the Feast of Saint Therese, our prayer had been answered. The miracle of life is so powerful and fills me with so much love.
Last week, we heard the unborn child's heartbeat for the very first time. This was a very emotional time for us, and at the end of January, Nadine will have her first ultrasound, I am sure that this event will be very moving as well.
As you can see, our lives are already busy and in June our first child will be born. Now I know that becoming a dad is one of the most exciting events of my life on earth and I thank God everyday for this gift.
