Poll: What Is Your New Year’s Resolution?

Catholic singles have high hopes for the New Year.

It’s a simple, even cliché question. But it’s also a helpful way to get an insight into someone’s personality, to get accountability, and, at best, to get inspired.

So tell us, what are you resolving to do in 2011?

“To learn how to knit.” –Leona-306955

“To give more of myself to God, by giving of my time, talent and treasure!” –Aaron-619710

“I’m resolving to finish editing a novel I wrote in 2009. Also, I am resolving to trust more and take great risks.” –Jennifer-630652

“Definitely getting back to the gym.” –Patrick-235584

“I resolve to meet the man of my dreams. Our relationship will come from God’s book of my life and it will be blessed with His touch.” –Glynne-385398

“To eat healthier, exercise more, and to love God and others better.” –Lisa-2533

How about you?

First, to always continue striving to become a better person, i.e., more Christ-lilke in what I do, what I don’t do, and how I think. Second, to continue to walk about 6 days of the week for exercise and not lose the habit, which has happened several times before; I need to be more disciplined about regular exercise. In 1 Corinthians 6:19 it says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Last but certainly not least is this. To find a warm, affectionate, easy-going, kind-hearted woman in Miami Florida who is a true Christian, not a hypocrite like so many church-going so-called Christians are; a woman who is commited to to the Lord, someone who puts God first in her life. St. Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, tells us what kind of person we should marry in 2 Corinthians 6:14-15. Check it out. Happy new year to all my brothers and sisters in Christ out there in cyberspace..
