We’re inviting CatholicMatch members to send us a spiritual reflection on single life and Lent. Well publish the best 40 one every day of Lent on our high-traffic blog, “Faith, Hope & Love.”
Your reflection should be no more than 300 words, so be concise. Be sure to focus on single life. This is a specific, narrow theme. Share your own experiences and examples and then apply them to a broader theme or principle. We’re not looking for a string of Bible verses or an academic dissertation. We want something original, honest and personal. To achieve that, we recommend (but don’t require) you write in first person.
Email your reflection to firstname.lastname@example.org. Use the subject line “Lent” plus your profile number, i.e. “Lent Andrew-721088.” Copy your text in the email and attach it as a Word document.
Attach a picture of yourself, a head shot that’s clear and focused on your face.
Deadline for submissions is March 9. (But CatholicMatch members are encouraged to submit earlier.) We need 40 submissions for this to work!
If you reflection is chosen you will receive a gift such as a gift card to iTunes or American Express or a subscription to CatholicMatch.com or Tobias magazine. The top three most viewed reflections will receive a special prize!
We’re looking forward to seeing what you produce!
We reserve the right to edit your reflections.
