It’s Not You, It’s Me

So many marriages fail because of spousal infidelity and dishonesty. Many times, the failure lies in the fact that what one spouse brings to the relationship is very different than what he or she promised on the day of the wedding. Losing your marriage can leave you feeling totally rejected, unlovable, unworthy.

But shift your focus and turn your eyes to Christ because He wants to show you the truth… how valuable and lovable you really are. Often times you look for your self-worth in another person – you gauge your importance by how others treat you and what they think about you. But Jesus is trying to show you that your real value can only be found in Him. Look at Him on the cross, and see how He hangs there, completely emptied of Himself – for you! If you were the only human being on earth, He would come down and do it all again – for you! You are the reason He did it all. No one loves you the way Christ does. Let that be the source of your self-worth today, and every day.

Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. – Isaiah 49:15.
