God Has A Plan

Does God really have a plan? Was this divorce part of his plan? It seems difficult to believe that He would want such terrible pain and suffering to be part of His great design.

Sometimes, particularly in the face of disaster and distress, our beliefs are challenged. It’s difficult to find a reason why God has allowed bad things to happen to us. But if you can find hope, you are able to light your path through the darkness. Hope gives you the ability to rise above the despair and confusion and set your feet firmly upon the path you need to walk, even though you may not understand why things are happening.

Trust wholeheartedly in Yahweh, put no faith in your own perception; acknowledge him in every course you take, and he will see that your paths are smooth. Proverbs 3: 5-6

i was forced into a divorce I did’nt want. Since that time my ex-wife continues to humiliate me at family and public activities I am invited to and she is present. For example: I attened the college graduation of my son who is engaged to be married in a Catholic Church. Nuptual counseling is required. While we were at the grauduation the topic of nuptial counseling came up for discussion and my ex-wife spoke loudly ” a lot of good it did us.” This are more examples of this humiliation.

Now I have the rehersal dinner to attend, wedding ceremony and reception to attend and my ex-wife will be present. I am apprehensive in attending because of this humiliation, but I am his Father and in a quandry about how to address this with my ex-wife and her Mother.
