Many people have described their divorce experience as wandering in the desert, or feeling lost in a foreign place. This is not difficult to understand. Divorce creates an upheaval at all levels of living that is shocking. It takes some time to get used to the “new normal.”

But the beauty of being lost, is being found. It’s like the terror a small child goes through when he’s accidentally separated from his parents and completely without safety. But his parent finds him and holds him close with tears of joy and tight hugs.

When you are feeling lost, fear not. Christ will find you and hold you close with tears of joy and tight hugs. You are not alone and never will be.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
