Crush The Serpent’s Head

Are you struggling to fight the good fight, today? Are you trying to change yourself for the better starting with the little things you do, think and say, but keep coming up against road blocks and temptations?

You’re not alone. And it’s important to remember that no one is perfect. Everyone fails. The key is to get back up, dust yourself off, and try again. As you do, keep in mind the supernatural reality of your struggles…

Every time you make the decision to bite your tounge and be charitable to your ex-spouse; every time you put on a smile instead of giving in to tears; every time you say yes to chastity and no to temptation, you are crushing the serpent’s head. All these different challenges you have become great victories when you stand firm in your desire to be better. The devil is always there, whispering lies in your ear because he wants you to believe that you cannot succeed. But each time you choose the right thing, you crush his head.

You are winning small battles in the war over your soul. The glory is in the struggle. Never forget God’s grace will carry you through.

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
