Being single can be very lonely. Even in a big group of friends, or surrounded by family, being single and divorced is hard.
As you try to get yourself out in the social world and meet other available men or women, it can become a bit of a game… How much time do you spend sitting around waiting for that guy to call you, ladies, or men, for that female to respond to your message?
It can be frustrating no doubt, but what else is there to do but wait? Much more!
Consider this: How many times has God tapped you on the shoulder or sent you an inspirational thought to focus yourself on Him and His love for you, but you missed it because you were so busy waiting for someone else’s call? You didn’t recognize his attempt to reach you because you were too worried about what wasn’t happening in your life?
Don’t forget that you have a distinct purpose in life, one that is a path to heaven for you, and God is prompting you to act. Don’t let your loneliness or disappointment destract you from what you should be doing. Get going on your mission in life and when the time is appropriate, God will bring you the one He’s chosen for you.
Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21).
